Late Night Gossip

Lorraine Bracco from The Sopranos comes out and they talk about the show a bit. Conan says he got an advance copy of this Sundays show but he didn’t want to watch it because he wanted to see it with everyone else. She says she hates wearing pantyhose and they make her wear them on the show.

They talk about her wine label. Conan says it must be fun to have a wine label because you get to taste wine a lot. They drink a little bit of her wine. Conan says it tastes very good and now that he’s mentioned it on the air he thinks a few cases would be appropriate, lol.

Steve Harvey comes out wearing this huge hat. He says it’s pimpin. They talk about clothes and he tells Conan he can wear anything because he’s tall. They talk about St. Patrick’s Day and he says it’s not really his thing, black people don’t really celebrate this day. They talk about him being friends with Michael Jackson and he says he made Michael go to church with him. He says he went to church looking like Captain Crunch.

Jaheim is Conan’s musical guest.

Amanda Peet comes out and Conan congratulates her on getting engaged and she shows her huge engagement ring. She met him on a blind date and he was wearing leather pants. They go off on a leather pants tangent and she says NO man can pull off wearing leather pants. Conan starts naming guys and she just keeps saying NO. She talks about how jealous she is. Then Conan asks her why her nickname is “Barnacle”, she says it is because she is so clingy.

Bradley Cooper comes out to promote Failure To Launch. I LOVE HIM IN ALIAS!! Conan asks him what it’s like to be in a movie with “the sexiest man alive”? He says it’s like being Goose in Top Gun.

Martha Stewart is on to cook a traditional Irish breakfast. She says “If you eat this every day I guarantee that you will not be here next year”. She describes all of the food that they are going to cook, almost all meat. They cook an egg in bacon fat and she compliments Conan on his egg frying skills. She pours some Jameson’s in a glass of orange juice and pours a can of Guiness in a coffee cup. He tries the OJ and says it needs more Jameson’s, lol.

Macaulay Culkin comes out and they talk about his new book. He says it’s not really true or false, it’s kind of just a mish mash of things. He talks about the Saved By The Bell drinking game. They talk about the pet name he has for his penis, Floyd.

Billy Bragg is Conan’s musical guest.

Vin Diesel comes out and they talk about his name and how cool it is. Vin tells Conan that he has the coolest name. Vin tells Conan that he got his name as a bouncer in NYC and the other bouncers gave him the nickname because they didn’t like to use their real names. Conan tells him he also has a cool voice, very deep baritone. They talk about voices for a while. Conan asks him about the change from doing acting roles to character acting which he is doing in his current movie. Vin plays Jackie DiNorscio in Find Me Guilty a story about the longest mafia trial in history. He talks about playing the role of a real person and meeting Jackie DiNorscio and having him pass away while the movie is filming. He says it’s a very heavy thing to deal with.

Jamie-Lynn Sigler comes out and they talk about the Sopranos and how strange it is for a hit show to take a 2 year hiatus. She says they never know who is gonna get whacked and they all dread the phone call from David Chase telling them they’re gonna die.

We Are Scientists are Conan’s musical guests.

Conan begins the show with an explanation about how he got interested in Finland. He noticed that there were Finnish people in the audience every night. He found out that he looked like the president of Finland, Tarja Halonen. He did some mock campaign ads to get her elected.

Then he went to Finland…

Cut to Conan getting off a Finnair airplane and kissing the runway in Finland. There is a huge crowd at the airport to greet him. He does a press conference and is questioned by the press. He says he wants a cabinet post “Inspector Of Saunas”…women’s saunas, lol.

He does a little walking tour of Helsinki, interviewing people along the way. He tries to interview some Chinese tourists, joking that he thinks they are Finnish. He discusses how to do a sauna with a guy (Seppo). While they are talking at the water some guys come out of the sauna naked and get in the water, lol. One guy asks if they can do a group photo with Conan. He says, “After you get dressed”.

Next he goes to visit someone that he randomly chose from his fan mail. She’s not home. So he knocks on some other doors in the building and still nobody answers. He finds this door that says Forss Fagerstrom and wants to see him, but he’s not home either. Finally, he goes to another fans house and SHE opens the door and he goes into her house. They sit and talk for awhile. She tells him that her and her friend Aino have been arguing and Conan calls her friend to help them make up. The girl on the phone talks his ear off. He asks her if she will hug Leino(sp) for him on camera. Aino agrees so they go to her house. **cut to Aino’s house** The two hug and then Conan says that it’s not really Aino, they went to her house and she wouldn’t come out so they used Conan’s assistant for the shot to make it look good, lol.

Next he went on some Finnish talk shows. He showed a montage of the shows, where it looked like all he did was say hello and then the hosts spoke a whole bunch of Finnish and then Conan says goodbye. Then he goes to an award show where he is given an award for being the most surprising star in Finland.

Next he flies to Lapland. He goes for a ride on a snowmobile to a reindeer farm. He meets a Laplander at the farm and they talk a bit and play a drum. Then Conan goes out and chases the reindeer. A lady named Annina teaches him how to drive a dogsled. He does a bunch of goofy stuff on the dogsled, lol.

Finally he goes to meet Tarja Halonen. He signs the guestbook and sits in a waiting room for awhile and then he goes in to meet her. He is MUCH taller than she is. When they are together they don’t look so much alike. She asks him if she looks more like his father or mother, lol. He says his mother. She thanks him for making the American people more aware of Finland. It was a very nice scene.

At the end Conan said he met a lot of wonderful people in Finland and it’s nice to have an entire country as a friend.

Tea Leoni comes out wearing a skin tight purple dress…YOWZA!! Conan talks about how cut her arms are, she looks strong. They talk about kids and how much smarter boys are than girls. Conan says he takes his daughter to the playground and the girls are so sophisticated and the boys are like cavemen. They talk about the movie Fun With Dick and Jane. She says she tore the cartilage in her shoulder while she was doing a prat fall so she hopes the movie is a hit and she can sue Sony.

Patton Oswalt comes out and talks about his wedding. He says his wedding planner was so gay and he put together the best wedding ever. Conan asks him if he is going to have kids. He says no, they are going to have a pretend kid named “Ten Hours Sleep A Night”, lol.

Doris Kearns Goodwin comes out and talks about her book about Abraham Lincoln. She tells about how he became the great man that he is now. She says that in researching him she actually became enthralled with him. She said he was the one President that was actually a good man and a great President.

Jim Carrey comes out and tells Conan how he is doing his string dance that he does all wrong because he is cutting the string from below. Conan defends himself by saying that he is actually cutting the string between his hand and his hip. Jim Carrey bows to the master of physical comedy, lol. They do a little King Kong skit where Jim Carrey ends up beating up King KOng and then he and Kong make out with the Brokeback Cowboys, lol.

Jason Lee from My Name Is Earl comes out and Conan asks him about his mustache. He says he is in competition with Magnum PI for best TV mustache ever. He says it’s weird, he’s not used to it he forgets he has it and when he wakes up in the morning he looks in the mirror and sees an eighties porn star. They talk about how he gained weight and he said it wasn’t for the role, he just likes apple fritters. They talk about how food on sets is always the fattiest food ever.

Harland Williams is a comedian, he comes out and says he just wants to clear up that he is not related to the Williams sisters. He tells a whole bunch of jokes, I don’t think he’s all that funny.

Jimeoin does a standup routine.

Barbara Walters comes out and they talk about how many World Leaders she has met. Conan says she has gotten a Christmas card from every president since Richard Nixon. She says every year except this one. She said she was very hurt that she did not receive one this year. They talk about her special a little bit. It’s about the belief in Heaven, what it is and does it exist.

Bill Hader from Saturday Night Live comes out and they talk about his Al Pacino impression. He does the impression that he did for his SNL interview. He’s really got the voice down. He talks about what it was like to work for Arnold Schwartzenegger. He’s a huge chess player and would constantly be stopping people on the set and having them play chess with him.

Clap Your Hands Say Yeah is Conan’s musical guest.

Jack Black comes out and they talk about how well he does the “scared face” in King Kong. He talks a bit about how he does it. Then he tells about a fake monster that he invented so that he could pretend to be scared on the set. A “shiger”, it is a tiger with the mouth and jaws of a shark. Then he tells about an injury that he got while filming a movie in Mexico. He got a cut on his eyebrow.

Rachel McAdams comes out and Conan says she must be a great actress because she is so nice and yet she played the meanest girl in Mean Girls. They talk about her movie, The Family Stone and working with Sarah Jessica Parker and Diane Keaton.

Charles Ross performs a scene from Star Wars. I am really speechless after watching this. The only word that comes to mind is “Crazy”.
